Description

Till Capital Corporation is a Canadian holding company that primarily provides insurance solutions to the financial service sector. The company was originally incorporated under the name Resource Holdings Ltd. according to the laws of Bermuda.

In March 2014, the company renamed itself to Till Capital Ltd. Later, Till Capital reincorporated itself under the Business Corporation Act of British Columbia in November 2019 and further, changed its name to Till Capital Corporation.

The Vancouver-based company invests in reinsurance premiums and corporate capital to earn underwriting gains and quality returns on investments. The holding firm does its insurance and reinsurance business operations through its subsidiary companies throughout North America and Bermuda.

In May 2015, Till capital acquired a 100 per cent stake (including all issued and outstanding shares) of Omega Holdings Inc., a Toronto-based private holding firm. The acquisition also included Omega’s two subsidiaries, the fully licensed Omega General Insurance Company and insurance consultancy and service provider Focus Group Inc.

Till has a 64 per cent ownership stake in the outstanding shares of Silver Predator Corp, a Canada-based precious metals exploration company. Silver Predator is a publicly listed miner with silver and gold exploration operations in Nevada and Idaho.

The company also holds 7.7 per cent stake in IG Tintic LLC (IGT) that holds majority ownership interests in Tintic Consolidated Metals LLC (TCM). TCM is a mineral exploration company that owns a significant landholding of more than 14,000 acres of mineral rights, including 7,000 acres of mining rights in Utah.

In addition, the company has a 33.3 per cent ownership stake in IG Far East, a privately-held corporation with a substantial interest in the Durmin Property in Russia. The investment holdings company also signed an option agreement to own the Carlin Vanadium Project located in Nevada. Till Capital Corporation is publicly listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the trading ticker TIL.
