This is the market movers show, so lets get started with Top 5 ASX gainers of the day . The Australian stock market traded lower on Friday, hit by losses in gold stocks. Over 20% fall in Beach Energy also contributed to the weakness in the equity benchmark ASX 200.  The stock of the Australia based regenerative medicine company Mesoblast Ltd (ASX:MSB) surged nearly 15% to AU$2.10. Mesoblast stock marked its best intraday percentage jump since 11 January 2021.

The stock of the global asset management group Janus Henderson Group PLC (ASX:JHG) rose nearly 5% to the day’s high of AU$44.68.  The stock of the provider of quality care and education services across Australia G8 Education Ltd (ASX:GEM) jumped just over 4% to AU$1.02. 

The stock surged even as there was no major update released by the company to the ASX.  Eagers Automotive Ltd (ASX:APE) stock jumped nearly 3% to the day’s high of AU$15.84. The stock has been on rise after the company released promising quarterly results. For the 3 months ending 31 March 2021, Eagers expected to record an underlying operating profit before tax from continuing operations of nearly AU$98 million
