Founded in 1890 by Charles Young and Anthony Bainbridge, Young & Co’S Brewery Plc is a UK-based group engaged in management and operation of Pubs and hotels across London and the South of England. The group expanded itself through acquisition of well-located pubs and hotels and it recently acquired The Deport, White Bear, Canbury Arms, The Crown, Grantley Arms, Onslow Arms, Wheatsheaf, Enderby House and Constitution. It operates around 210 managed and 63 tenanted pubs. The group’s shares are traded on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) segment of the London Stock Exchange as LON: YNGA.
The group predominantly operates freehold estate as it offers greater control and opportunities within its business and enables to negotiate better terms with leaders, whilst allowing the group to benefit from increases in property values. Through its managed division the group operates differentiated, premium and mostly drink-led pubs across London and Southern England. The group also operates tenanted assets to expand its reach outside UK and allows working in partnership with engaging entrepreneurs to run sustainable businesses. These assets are less labour intensive and allow the group to acquire freehold pubs with tenants in site.
The group also offers high-quality drinks and food and the provision of accommodation. The group’s pubs are located across London, Berkshire, Bristol, Cambridge, Cotswolds, Devon, Dorset, Exeter, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Oxfordshire, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex and Wiltshire. Its hotels are located in London, Cotswolds, Devon, Somerset, Surrey and Wiltshire.
