Founded in 1996, Thinksmart Limited is an Australia-based specialist digital payments platform company that offers investors unique exposure to the UK “Buy Now Pay Later” payments sector that is driven by digital transformation of consumer shopping habits and financial services. The company developed ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ payments platform, Clearpay and sold its 90% interest Australia-listed business, Afterpay in 2018. In UK, the company commenced its operations in 2003 and in 2014 it sold its New Zealand and Australian operations. The company is listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange as LON: TSL and is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. 

The company’s principal activities include the provision of lease and rental financing services across UK to both consumers and businesses and it also holds financial assets. Its main focus is to deliver customer life cycle contract management through its market leading proprietary technology platform, SmartCheck that powers its point-of-sale lease finance payment solutions.

The company operates though three segments that include UK, Corporate and unallocated. The UK segment includes RentSmart Ltd, ThinkSmart Insurance Services Administration Ltd, ThinkSmart Financial Services Ltd, ThinkSmart Europe Ltd and ThinkSmart UK Ltd, and the Corporate and unallocated segment includes ThinkSmart Limited ThinkSmart Inc and ThinkSmart Finance Group Limited.
