Description

Founded in 1993, Rosneft Oil Company is a leader of the Russian oil industry and the largest publicly traded oil company globally. The company is engaged in hydrocarbon prospecting and exploration and production of gas, oil and gas condensate, implementation of offshore field development projects, refining, sales of oil, gas, and refined products in Russia and abroad. The company’s largest shareholder with 40.4% holdings is state-owned ROSNEFTEGAZ JSC, 19.75% is owned by BP Russian Investments Limited, 18.46% by QH Oil Investments LLC, and one share belongs to the state represented by the Federal Agency for State Property Management. The company’s shares are listed on Moscow Exchange as MCX: ROSN and on the London Stock Exchange as LON: ROSN.

The company’s share in global oil production is 6% and its new production projects include Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye, Tagulskoye, Suzunskoye, Tagulskoye, and Russkoye fields, Stage 2 of Srednebotuobinskoye field, Vostochno-Messoyakhskoye, Zapadno-Erginskoye field, and Kuyumbinskoye fields have been launched over recent years. Its refining block includes 13 large refineries and petrochemical and gas processing facilities located in five Federal Districts, Siberian, Central, Southern, Volga, and Far Eastern. The company’s refining business offers the domestic market high-quality petroleum products. It is currently the third-largest company on the German refining market, operating through its subsidiary Rosneft Deutschland GmbH and is engaged in exporting crude oil to Europe, Asia-Pacific, and CIS countries. The company’s customer base includes over 500 businesses in France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, and Switzerland.
