The company operates 105 thermal and renewable power generation assets across 18 countries across Africa, Europe, and Latin America with a total installed capacity of over 4.8 GW. Its thermal fleet uses conventional fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas, biogas, and liquid fuels, and its renewable fleet uses sustainable resources such as photovoltaic solar, wind, concentrated solar, and hydropower. The company invests in low and no-carbon technologies includes innovative approaches to energy storage and fuel sources with an aim to create economic and social value through high-quality operations and to support the communities. The company operates through two segments that include Thermal Energy and Renewable energy.

The Thermal Energy segment includes power generating plants operating from coal, fuel oil and diesel, lignite, and natural gas and its thermal plants include Cap des Biches, Maritsa, Energies Antilles, Arrubalm Arrubal, Mexican CHP, Togo, and its equity investees mainly termoemcali and Sochagota. Further, it includes plants that operate from renewable resources such as solar, wind, and hydro in Latin America and Europe. The renewable energy includes Vorotan, Asa Branca, Austria portfolio 1 and 2, Chapada I, II, III, Inka, Spanish concentrated solar power, and its other European and Brazilian plants.
