MiningAlba Minerals Resources is a UK-Based holding company that is engaged in exploration of portfolio of Natural resources such as base metal, gold, iron and graphite. Its assets are located in the countries of Northern Europe such as UK, Ireland and Greenland. Its focus is on excavation of hidden resources from already drilled or mined projects. The company’s shares are traded on the Alternative Investment Market segment of the London Stock Exchange as LON: ALBA.
The company’s core operations include Mining and Oil & Gas projects. The Mining projects consist of Thule Black Sands in Greenland, Clogau-St David’s Gold Mine in Wales, Amitsoq Graphite in Greenland, Gwynfynydd Gold Mine in Wales, Limerick Base Metals in Ireland, Melville Bay Iron in Greenland and Inglefield Multi-Element in Greenland. The Thule Black Sands is a high-grade IImenite project, which is fully-owned by the company and is located on the coastline of North-West Greenland. The Clogau-St David’s Gold Mine is the UK’s largest historic producer of Gold, located in Dolgellau Gold belt in Wales with 90% interest with the company, covering total area of 107 km sq and more than 300 known gold occurrences. The Amitsoq Graphite project produces the high-grade flake graphite located in southern Greenland, within the company’s 100% owned Mineral Exploration Licence-2013/06.
The two graphode deposits are located in Amitsoq Island with average grade of 28.7% TGC content and at new Kalaaq mainland discovery with average grade 25.6% TGC content. The Gwynfynydd Gold Mine project located near Ganllwyd town in North Wales is the second largest producer of gold in the UK’s history after its Clogau-St David’s Gold Mine. The Limerick Base Metals project has major resource of zinc and lead production since 1960s, which is located in the Irish Ore Field in Ireland. The Melville Bay Iron project consist of Iron Ore resources with DSO potential located in north-west Greenland. It also hosts magnetite and haematite styles of mineralisation across numerous targets. The Inglefield Multi-Element project consists of various high-value minerals such as Gold, Copper, Nickel and Cobalt located in north-west Greenland.
The company’s Oil and Gas operations consist of Horse Hill Oil Project, which has 11.765% interest with the company and includes two Licences; PEDL137 and PEDL 246 operated by Horse Hill Developments Limited (HHDL) and is located in the Weald Basin in England.
