Description

Incorporated in July 2014, KKV Secured Loan Fund Limited, formerly SQN Asset Finance Income Fund, is a Guernsey-based closed-ended investment company, with objective to deliver regular and sustainable income to investor through collateralized investments in business-essential equipment and hard assets and in assets-and-equipment-based project financings.  It is the only diversified equipment leasing and asset finance Investment Company listed on the main market segment of the London Stock Exchange as LON: KKVL.  

The company has appointed KKV Investment Management Limited as its Portfolio manager and International Fund Manager Limited as its Alternative Investment Fund Manager. The company invests directly or indirectly in business- essential, revenue generating or cost saving equipment and other physical assets with high in place value and long economic life relative to the investment term. Its new investment objective for the ordinary shares and the 2016 C Shares is to realize all remaining assets in the portfolio of both share classes in a sensible manner consistent to return cash to shareholders in an orderly manner and with the principles of good investment management. 

The company offers asset financing mainly by way of loans, equipment leases, construction finance, hire-purchase agreements, and residual participations.  It is expected that any investment made will generate return either through the residual value of the equipment or other assets at the end of investment term or through cash flow over the investment term. It usually do not invest in large single asset segment of the leasing market, such as commercial aircraft leasing market that is depends on residual value to meet its targets or the high volume. The company may invest in the low margin segment of the leasing market such as automobile leasing, if appropriate opportunities are identified. The company invests in a wide range sectors such as energy, manufacturing, medical, technology, agriculture, environmental, material handling, modular accommodation and transportation. It invest across UK, US and Europe which is expected to represent minimum 75% of the portfolio and it may also invest in equipment and assets located or subject to law in Australia and Canada and other countries. It also invests in residual interest in assets or equipment.
