Founded in 1985 by Julian Dunkerton as Cult Clothing business, Superdry Plc, formerly SuperGroup Plc, is a UK-based clothing business that is engaged in designing, producing and delivering affordable and high-quality clothing, footwear, sportswear and accessories under Superdry brand. The company was rebranded in 2003 when Julian partnered with designer James Holder to establish Superdry brand. The company operates through owned estate, franchises and wholesalers in 61 countries with 241 stores and 44 international websites, including third party websites. In the US, the company operates through 29 owned stores, in UK & ROI it operates through 104 owned stores and 12 Franchises & Licenses, in Europe through 108 owned stores and 295 Franchises & Licenses and in Rest of World through 192 Franchises & Licenses. The company got listed in 2010 on the London Stock Exchange as LON: SDRY.

The company aims to deliver a creative and product lead brand to inspire and engaged the cotemporary style obsessed consumer with sustainable financial growth and return. It offers a wide range of affordable, premium-quality clothing, accessories, footwear and sportswear. To evolve the maximum opportunities, the company has adopted capital-light, flexible and multi-channel approach to market.

The company offers a wide range of products, segmented into four style collections across menswear and womenswear.  Each style collections offers T-shirts, underwears, Loungewear, jackets, swimwear, coats, sunglasses and hand drawn graphics, all of these are augmented by limited  edition drops throughout the season.

The company offers four consumer styles which are Casual & Vintage, Sophisticated & Minimal, Sport and Streetwear & Energy. The mainline collection name of Casual & Vintage style is Original & Vintage, which is inspired by the legacy of the American west, counterculture and workwear, it Pinnacle concept is Dry.  The mainline collection name of Sophisticated & Minimal style includes Superdry studios, which embraces the modern art of restraint and echoes the mindset of cultural customers, whilst retaining a smart style and advocating a less-is-more philosophy, its Pinnacle concept is Cult Studios. 

The Sports style was created to engage the style obsessed customers featuring premium athletic designs; its Pinnacle concept is Sport Performance. The mainline collection name of Streetwear & Energy style includes Superdry X, which showcases statement pieces with a youthful attitude; its Pinnacle concept is SDX.
