Outbound travel trends:

  • Indian travelers are opting largely for niche destinations in Thailand like Koh Samui, Krabi, Chaing Mai and Phuket, Hua Hin, Phi-Phi Islands in Thailand, Langkawi, Penang Island, Malacca and Johor Bahru in Malaysia; Bali, Banda Islands, Yogyakarta, Surabaya in Indonesia and Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam; Yamanouchi, Kyoto, Chiyoda, Honshu Island in Japan

  • Destinations like Singapore, London, and Hong Kong got an incremental business of 25% for family and DINKS segment

Domestic travel Trends:

  • Places like Shimla, Nainital, Lonavala, Coorge Kathmandu, Wayanad, Munnar and Andaman and Nicobar are picking up for this summer. We at Expedia are offering 50% off on a lot of these destinations

  • Water related adventure sport like Rafting, Kayaking, Jet Skiing, Surfing, Scuba Diving and Snorkeling will also be an attraction for young travelers seeking adventure
