At a time when workplaces are evolving rapidly, the Great Managers' League Summit 2025, held at Tata Theatre, NCPA on 23rd of May, brought together over 900 leaders-CEOs, CHROs, Founders, and people leaders-for a day focused on conversations around people leadership. The summit featured a curated flow of stories, recognitions, and research-based insights without unnecessary fanfare or promotional tone.

Recognising the Leaders Behind the Teams

Two recognitions were announced during the event:

  • India's Top 100 Great People Managers™: Managers building strong, empathetic, and high-performing teams-often without public attention.

  • India's Top 50 CEOs, MDs & Founders: Senior leaders enabling people-first cultures within their organisations.

Both recognitions are based on data from the Great People Manager Study, India's largest study on managerial effectiveness, using behavioral feedback collected from thousands of team members across organizations.

Conversations That Went Beyond the Script

The event featured a range of speakers who shared grounded, experience-based insights.

  • Shaheen Mistri spoke about leadership rooted in service and education.

  • Mimi Nicklin discussed empathy as a practical, not abstract, leadership need.

  • Nitin Paranjpe reflected on failure, resilience, and the pressure leaders face.

Additional speakers included Ankur Warikoo, Elisa Farri, Naiyya Saggi, Marzin Shroff, Aradhana Lal, and Amod Malviya, each offering perspectives from different industries and leadership styles.

The day also featured:

  • A session on Extra Sensory Perception by Deepak Rao

  • A performance by the Infinite Melody Band, a group of visually impaired musicians, curated and led by Sunita Bhuyan

These sessions were designed to explore leadership beyond frameworks-through trust, intuition, and inclusion.

A Shared Reflection

The most repeated line from the event - shared across conversations and designs was:

"In life, and at work, all we need is a Great Manager To Work With™."

That sentiment framed the summit. Not as a platform for trends or campaigns, but as a space to reflect on what truly sustains teams, cultures, and performance: everyday leadership done right.
