Silver Range Resources Ltd. is a junior mining firm that operates as a mineral project generator in the metals and mining industry. The Firm was incorporated in May 2010 as a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Strategic Metals Ltd., according to the provincial laws of British Columbia. In 2011, the firm underwent a Plan of Arrangement with its parent company pursuant to which Strategic Metals’s investment in the firm was reduced to less than 20 per cent.
Silver Range Resources is a public company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange Venture (TSX) under the stock quote SNG. The Vancouver-headquartered miner is focused on the identification, acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties, particularly the precious metal projects sitting in Nevada and northern Canada. The company is also interested in base metal properties containing silver (Ag), lead (Pb) and zinc (Zn) mineralization.
Silver Range, presently, holds a diversified exploration and development asset portfolio of 45 mineral projects, including 16 projects under option agreements in four geographies:
• Nevada – Most of the projects under the company’s asset holdings are located in Nevada. Some of them are Steptoe, Cambridge, Krug, Gold Chief, Lucky Boy, Skylight, Black Star, Strongbox, Cold Springs Royalty etc.
• Northwest Territory (NWT) – The company operates five mineral projects in Northwest Territories, Canada. They are Itchen, Up Town Gold, Cabin Lake Royalty, Hare and Sparta
• Nunavut – The miner holds multiple mineral assets here, namely Atlantis, Yandle, Noomut, Hard Cash, Tree River, Grumpy, Nigel, etc.
• Yukon – The project generator has four mining projects. They are Silver Range, Barb, Michelle, and Mel.
Silver Range’s strategy is to advance its mineral projects under its multi-commodity portfolio to the drill-ready phase, and then option/ or sell these projects to other mining firms. The company, based on the option or sale agreement may either receive cash payment or shares of the buyer and retain royalty interest on the sold project. In this way, Silver Range is building a portfolio of mineral projects that directly or indirectly will generate cash flow to support its ongoing exploration and drilling operations and overhead costs.
The company is working on exploration programs to discover and evaluate new prospective targets to expand the mineral resource potential for the advancement of its mineral assets. It is actively seeking joint venture opportunities for the exploration and development of its high-quality gold and silver targets in its portfolio.
