Cordoba Minerals Corp. is a mineral mining company primarily involved in the acquisition, exploration and development of precious metal and base metal projects. Cordoba Minerals Corp. is a public listed company on the TSX Venture Exchange with its common shares trading under the ticker symbol CDB. Additionally, the Vancouver-based metal exploration company is listed and trades its common stock on the OTCQB market under the stock symbol CDBMF.
Since 2015, Cordoba Minerals Corp. has owned a 100 per cent stake in the San Matias Project, a copper-gold-silver project situated in Puerto Libertador, Cordoba (Colombia). The project is equipped with proper infrastructure, including paved roads, air transportation, a nearby power grid, and a favorable climate year-round.
The project involves open pit mining and related infrastructure, including a processing facility, dumps, tailing storage, etc. The San Matias Project encompasses a total land area of some 20,000 hectares with various copper-gold bearing porphyry mineralization, gold veins system and a carbonate replacement mine.
The San Matias Project consists of intrusive rock, volcanic rock and volcaniclastic rock structures. The project area includes four primary deposits:
• Alacran Mine, a copper-gold-silver mine
• Montiel East Deposit
• Montiel West Deposit
• Costa Azul Deposit
Currently, the company is conducting a pre-feasibility study (PFS) at the San Matias Project site.
Cordoba Minerals also owns a 25 per cent stake in the Perseverance Copper Project via a joint venture agreement (JVA) and earn-in arrangement. The Perseverance Project is situated in Arizona.
According to the press release dated May 13, 2021, the company provided a positive update on the PFS work. The report indicates favorable results from the geotechnical, hydrological, and metallurgical tests. Cordoba Minerals Corp. continues to work on technical grounds to help the PFS onsite. In addition, the company is focused on identifying and evaluating new and existing prospects to advance the Alacran Deposit.
