  • Robust financial position with $252 million in cash and no debt.
  • Continued advancement in uranium capture technology at Alta Mesa.

Boss Energy (ASX:BOE) is making significant strides in its global uranium development efforts, notably through its projects at Honeymoon in Australia and Alta Mesa in Texas. The company's strong financial standing, characterized by $252 million in cash reserves and a lack of debt, positions it advantageously for the expansion of these projects and exploration of new assets in Australia.

Duncan Craib, Managing Director of Boss Energy, recently highlighted the company's progress, noting that they are on target to produce 850,000 pounds of drummed uranium for the financial year 2025. This optimistic projection is supported by the remarkable results from the last quarter at the Honeymoon project, where uranium production reached 295,800 pounds, marking a 116% increase from the previous quarter.

The company also reported robust sales, with 268,000 pounds of uranium sold at an average price of approximately $136 per pound, bringing in around $36 million in revenue. Furthermore, Boss Energy maintains a healthy uranium inventory, holding 1.12 million pounds as of the end of March.

In the U.S., Boss Energy's investment in the Alta Mesa project, acquired from enCore Energy (no ticker provided), is yielding positive outcomes. Since acquiring a 30% stake in February 2024, the Texas-based operation has seen a significant uptick in activity and production levels. Boss Energy and enCore Energy are pushing the Alta Mesa project towards a projected annual production rate of 1.5 million pounds of uranium.

Enhancements at the Alta Mesa Central Processing Plant have expedited production schedules, allowing enCore to advance its August 2025 contract deliveries to May 2025. This is due to a marked improvement in daily uranium capture rates, which recently peaked at over 1,900 pounds per day—the highest since the plant recommenced operations in June 2024.

The drive and success in uranium production at both Honeymoon and Alta Mesa underscore Boss Energy's robust position in the industry. The company continues to meet critical milestones and exceed production expectations, setting a strong pace for its future operations and affirming its role as a key player in the global uranium market.
