Founded in 1928, Caledonia Investment Plc is a UK-based self-managed investment trust company that manages the assets of around £2.5 billion across an international multi-asset portfolio, with a focus on companies that have the potential to generate high long-term value for its shareholders. It invests in the range of sectors such as financials, healthcare, basic material, real estate, consumer staples, technology, telecommunications, Investment companies, Pubs & restaurants, industrials, technology, and utilities, across the UK, Europe, Channel Island, North America, and Asia. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange as LON: CLDN and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.

The company mainly invests in three asset classes that include Quoted Equity (Capital and Income), Funds and Private Capital. Allocation to these asset classes depends on liquidity, pricing, income and growth targets and some investment needs capital for decades or over, to grow net assets and dividends paid to shareholders over the long-term, whilst managing risk to avoid permanent loss of capital. It holds investments in both listed and private markets.

The company’s main objectives id to deliver FTSE All-Share outperformance over ten years and shorter-term return between RPI+ 3% and RPI + 6%, pay an increasing annual dividend and to manage investment risk consistent with long-term wealth generation. Some of the company’s investments include Deep Sea Electronics, Seven Investment Management, Cobehold, Aberdeen US PE funds, Texas Instruments, Liberation group, Stonehage Fleming, Cooke Optics, Axiom Asia Funds and Watsco.
