WIZZ Air is a Hungary-based low-cost airline company with its headquarters in Budapest. Founded in 2003, it operates primarily in Europe, Middle East, and North Africa. It currently operates in more than 45 countries and connects over 155 destinations with over 900 routes across the world. It provides low-cost transportation services on scheduled short-haul and medium-haul point-to-point routes on its routes. Wizz Air Holdings PLC is a Jersey-based parent company of Wizz Air, which is publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange. It is a part of the FTSE 250 index and is founded in 2017.

Wizz Air UK is a subsidiary of Wizz Air Holdings and is the British arm of low-cost airlines and has its headquarters in Luton airport, London. The UK unit works on behalf of the Hungarian parent company. The company holds a UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) operating license of Type A, which permits it to carry cargo, mail, and passengers with 20 or more seats. Its fleet consists of Airbus A320-200, Airbus A321-200, and Airbus 321neo.

The company’s aim is to minimise the cost of air travel while expanding its networks of airports and destinations covered.  It has primary, secondary, and regional airports that provide quick and convenient services to customers at low fares. Wizz Air employs more than 4,200 aviation professionals across 164 airports. Starting from the first flight in 2004, Wizz Air has achieved the milestone of catering to 200 million passengers in 2019.

It invests in no-frill airports, which give equal value to all customers at the lowest possible rates, and invests in environment solutions by providing greener options to travel. It is on the path to become Europe’s fastest growing and greenest airline. It strives to create a greener and sustainable mode to travel while reducing the environmental footprint.

In 2019, the carbon emissions per passenger per kilometer went down from 59.9 grams to 58.5 grams, which is almost half the industry average. The company has very high standards of corporate governance and complies with a well-defined code of business conduct. It tries to create an all-inclusive environment while giving priority to safety of its crew and customers.
