The company also operates its flagship sites such as Waverley in Rotherham and Logistics North in Bolton, are national economic significance are at forefront of regeneration in the UK. The company’s shares are listed on the premium segment of the main market of the London stock exchange since 1994 as LON: HWG.

The company creates value by acquisitions and securing new sites for regeneration, creating a strategic purpose and vision for the site, securing planning permission from local authorities, preparing land and infrastructure for future development, Selling land to house builders or commercial occupiers and building its own commercial units, investing to create places where people want to live and work and at last actively managing its assets portfolio to generate sustainable income.  The company has a various agricultural estates, business parks and power generation schemes and it focuses on creating further value with various sites being progressed through the planning system. 

The company’s portfolio includes three types of development that are commercial, Residential and Income development.   The commercial development portfolio includes Logistics North, Advanced Manufacturing Park and Gateway 36. The Residential development portfolio includes Waverley, Pheasant Hill Park and Prince of Wales. The company’s income generation developments include all its commercial developments that include business parks, directly developed commercial units and low-carbon energy schemes.
