Description

Founded in 1960, Ferrexpo Plc is an iron ore pellet producer with miners in Ukraine and sales operations around the world. The company is the third largest exporter of iron ore pellets and is engaged in mining, processing, and selling high quality iron ore pellets to the global steel industry. The company is listed on the premium segment on the main market of the London Stock Exchange as LON: FXPO and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 and FTSE Good Index.

The company’s objective is to maximize value from its iron ore deposit, by manufacturing high quality iron ore products that are supplied to global steel producers. Its assets are in the Poltava region of central Ukraine and its asset base is the largest iron ore deposit in Europe with over 5.5 billion tonnes of JORC-classified mineral resources. Its resource base is located along a 50-kilometre mineral deposit. The company exports all its products to a range of countries in Asia and Europe, including Germany, South Korea, Austria, Slovakia, Taiwan, Vietnam, China, Turkey, The US, Japan, and the Czech Republic.

The company also operates a fleet of vessels operating on the Rhine and Danube waterways, and an ocean-going vessel that offers top off services, and operates on international sea routes. Its mineral properties lie within the Kremenchug Magnetic Anomaly and are being extracted at the Gorishne-Plavninskoye and Lavrikovskoye (GPL), Bilanivske deposit and Yeristovskoye deposits. The company holds a mining license for the Galeschynske deposit with estimated total JORC classified resources of 326 million tonnes. It also holds exploration licences for other five Northern deposits that include Kharchenkivske, Brovarkivske, Vasylivske, Manuilivske and Zarudenske.
