Energean PLC, which was formally called Energean Oil and Gas Plc, is an exploration and creation organisation centred around the eastern Mediterranean area and UK North Sea, where it works in seaward Israel, Greece, the Adriatic, and Egypt. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 index. Energean majorly produces gas (80% of the portfolio), which are concentrated in Egypt and Italy fields. Other areas are Greece and Croatia, and the UK. Energean's recent development resources are the multi-tcf Karish, Karish North, and Tanin gas fields, seaward Israel. Energean is likewise fostering the North El Amriya/North Idku fields in Egypt.

The company has nine exploration licences in Israel, an exploitation permit for the Katakolo seaward square in Western Greece, and extra exploration potential in Western Greece and Montenegro.
