Founded in 1825, AIB Group PLC is a financial services company with its headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. It principally operates in Ireland and the UK and has leading market shares in banking products with over 2.8 million customers. The company provides an all-inclusive and comprehensive range of services, personal, business or corporate, in all its targeted markets. In the recent years, AIB has been working on reorganising its structure and becoming more customer friendly by focusing on their needs, and also focusing on profit-making measures as well as reducing the risks around the business. AIB UK includes Allied Irish Bank (Great Britain), which is a corporate and commercial bank, that provides support to businesses in Great Britain. It also includes Allied Irish Bank (Northern Ireland), which looks into the retail and business side. 

AIB is committed to sustainable strategies for better banking services and climate action. It aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 across all its operations. It aims to increase the green and transition to low carbon economy lending in Ireland gradually to 70% of its new customers by 2030, and net zero carbon emissions lending portfolios by 2040.
