Tesla has its own vehicle service centres that provide superchargers for fast and easy charging of electric vehicles. Superchargers are direct current fast-charging technology installed in charging stations on the well-travelled routes in and around the city by Tesla.
The electric vehicle manufacturer also provides the facility of advanced driving assistance under its autopilot and self-driving system.
Tesla operates under two central units: Automotive and Energy Generation and Storage.
The automotive unit mainly focuses on the development, designing and manufacturing of e-vehicles. In addition, it also manages the selling of e-vehicles in the market.
Energy Generation and Storage
Tesla provides a set of energy solutions under this segment. It deals with developing, manufacturing and designing of solar energy systems and energy storage products.
Tesla also provides additional services like installation of stationary energy storages. The US-based company supplies electricity generated from the solar energy systems to the individuals for domestic and commercial usage and at utility sites.
Elon Musk, Jeffrey B Straubel, Marc Tarpenning and Martin Eberhard founded Tesla on July 1, 2003. The company is said to have been named after the American inventor and electrical engineer, Nikola Tesla.
In 2020, Tesla was reportedly nominated as the world's best-selling plug-in and electric vehicle manufacturer.
The company manufactures four primary vehicle models:

• Model 3
• Model Y
It claims that its Model 3 is the all-time best-selling plug-in electric vehicle in the world. Tesla reportedly delivered more than 800,000 Model 3 cars by the end of 2020.
Tesla is listed on the NASDAQ and trades under the symbol ‘TSLA’.
The vehicle manufacturer is included in NASDAQ 100 component, S&P 500 and S&P 100 component.
