The segment's estimated capacity stands at around 28,400 megawatts as of December 2020. It also owns distribution and transmission lines of nearly 76,200 miles and over 670 substations. On January 1, 20201, Gulf Power and FPL merged, with later being the surviving entity.

NEER segment

The segment produces electricity from renewable and clean sources, including solar and wind. The company is also engaged in trading activities, gas marketing, natural gas production and owns a retail electricity supply chain.

Primary activities include owning, developing, constructing and managing electricity generation facilities in Canada and the United States wholesale energy markets.

It also owns and operates transmission facilities in Canada and the United States. In addition, NEER also has significant interest in pipeline infrastructure, gas infrastructure business and natural gas liquids.
