Grid Metals Corp. (TSXV:GRDM)

Grid Metals Corp., earlier known as Mustang Minerals Corp., is a junior mining firm focused on battery-grade base metals. These metals are significant to the automotive sector, including the emerging electric vehicles and grid storage businesses.

Grid Metals was formed in July 1997 with a head office located in Toronto, Ontario. The company is listed publicly on the TSX Venture Exchange, where its common shares are traded under the stock quote GRDM. It is also listed on the United States OTCBQ Market under the trading symbol MSMGF.

The miner is engaged in the identification, acquisition, exploration and development of battery mineral-producing properties, such as palladium (Pd), nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co) and platinum group elements (PGE). The company holds a diversified portfolio of high-impact projects with significant mineral potential, mainly in North America.

The Makwa Mayville Project is situated about 145 kilometers from Winnipeg along the Bird River Greenstone Belt in Manitoba. The property comprises two primary open pit deposits that host multiple battery metal mineralization, including nickel, copper, PGM and cobalt.

The project is subject to blast and haul open pit operations, from there ore shall be hauled to the mill at the project site, according to the findings of the Preliminary Economic Assessment. The Mayville Zone hosts platinum group element mineralization, including palladium and platinum with low copper and nickel elements. The mineralized zone, a potential new source for mineral feeds at the Makwa Mayville site, lies nearly one kilometer southeast of the Mayville Deposit.

East Bull Property, which is 100 per cent owned by Grid Metals, encircles almost 80 per cent of the prolific EBL intrusion containing palladium-rich mafic complexes with significant palladium, Cu-Ni sulphide and chromite mines. The project is situated nearly 80 kilometers east of Sudbury and is well-connected via roads, highways and other mining infrastructure.

The company also operates the Bannockburn Nickel Project located about 100 kilometers south of Timmins, Ontario. The Project comprises 125 unpatented mineral claims, subject to net smelter royalty of two per cent.

The advancement in energy-efficient automotive and energy storage systems is driving up the global demand for battery metals, and therefore, resulting in price increases. Thus, it gives ample opportunities to the company to benefit from favorable market conditions. Grid Metals is focused on exploration and drilling operations to discover, evaluate and exploit new target zones to enhance the mineral potential for further development and advancement of its portfolio projects.
