Cymat Technologies Ltd. is an industrial products technology company specialized in the production and sales of customized stabilized aluminum foam according to the requirement of its clients. Cymat Technologies is listed on the Toronto Venture Stock Exchange (TSXV, its ticker symbol is CYM.

The Mississauga-based company manufactures stabilized foam products under the brand division -- SmartMetalTM. The density of the product can be modified to specific blast attenuation. These products are light weighted energy absorption materials.

Cymat Technologies Ltd is also involved in the production, marketing, and sales of flat-panel architectural products under another brand division – AlusionTM. The Alusion product line is derived for aesthetic value for ceilings, lighting, furniture, and other interiors. Alusion utilizes a cellular cast aluminum foam process with a continuous casting method. It has shock absorbent, sound absorption and dampening properties, including high resistant wind loads for exterior applications. These are manufactured from post-industrial aluminum up to 50 per cent -- post-consumer aluminum recycled content, which is 100 per cent recyclable.

The proprietary manufacturing technology developed by the company involves three production processes:

• Stabilized Aluminium Foam (SAF) Process

• Flat Panel Process (also referred to as Horizontal Continuous Casting)

• 3-D Low Pressure Casting

The SAF technology-based SmartMetal and Alusion products have various industrial applications like:

• Defense and Military

• Automotive and Transportation

• Architectural

• Other industrial sectors, including - consumable parts, machined parts, sound attenuation, nuclear lift fail-safe energy management system, lightweight cores, thermal performance, composite systems, vibration dampening, and EM protection.

In July 2021, the company entered into an agency agreement with ADI Technologies, Incorporated, a US-based marketing and consultancy company. Pursuant to the agreement, ADI would market the company’s products to the United States Military and related corporations.
