Established in 1960, founded by two brothers Tom Monaghan and James who bought a mini Dominick's pizza store. In 1965, Tom Monaghan changed its name to Domino's Pizza, Inc. In 1967, the company launched its first franchise store in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
In 1983, the company launched its first international store in Winnipeg, Canada. In 1990, the company executed its 1,000th franchise and its official website (www.dominos.com) in 1996. In 1992, the company started to sell breadsticks, its first nonpizza menu item.
