• Oil prices traded more than 1.5% higher on January 06, 2020, and extended Friday’s gain amid heightened geopolitical tension in the Middle East. The rally in the oil prices surged after US President warned to impose sanction on Iraq and with a bill of billions of dollars if the United States is forced to vacate the country after Iraqi parliament voted to oust US troops. International oil benchmark Brent Oil traded 1.5% higher to USD 69.70/bbl and touched an intraday high of USD 70.75/bbl and a low of USD 69.08/bbl.
