GlaxoSmithKline Plc Divests Two Of Its Travel Vaccines

  • GlaxoSmithKline Plc (GSK) has divested two of its travel vaccines to Bavarian Nordic.
  • The company’s divested two travel vaccines include Rabipur for the prevention of rabies and Encepur for the prevention of tick-borne encephalitis.
  • The company will receive an upfront payment of around EUR301 million or £259 million and milestone payments for a total consideration of up to EUR955 million or £822million, with the said divestment.
  • On 21st October 2019, at the time of writing, GMT 11:45 AM, GSK shares were trading at GBX 1,625.20, down by 21.00 points or 1.28 per cent against the previous day closing price.
