Associate Minister for State-Owned Enterprises Shane Jones said that a new 'super depot' is to be built for NZ Post in Wellington. The construction of depot will generate around 350 assignments. Posties and couriers are essential services that worked throughout the alert level 4 due to the high demand for e-commerce deliveries, said Shane Jones. He announced the investment of NZD 170 million while attending the ground-breaking ceremony. The funding will increase its parcel-processing capacity from 95 million parcels today to 190 million parcels.

Invercargill firm Gateway Solutions Limited produces and sells health and dietary supplements. It offers a range of supplements made from deer velvet. The company has been fined NZD 194,400 for mislabelling its deer velvet health supplements, which are marketed as useful in boosting vitality, activity and joint mobility.

Milk company A2 has moved to respond to media speculation that it is eyeing a Southland milk company. The Australian has reported that A2 has Mataura Milk Company ''in its sights''. While A2 did not name any companies, it said it was in ''strategic'' talks with various parties about manufacturing. Despite the challenges Covid-19 has posed for many companies, A2 has been riding a wave of success on the sharemarket.
