NZ Total Exports to All Countries Declined After the Covid-19 Outbreak

Stats NZ reported data of NZ trade between a period of 1 February and 13 May, and it gives an updated report of how the country traded with the world since the COVID-19 outbreak.

The trade performance for the week ended on 13 May 2020 compared to the corresponding period in the previous year is as follows:

  • Total exports to all countries declined by 9.7 per cent.
  • Total imports from all countries increased by 13 per cent.
  • Exports to China dipped by 13 per cent.
  • Imports from China decreased by 4.2 per cent.
