New Zealand Provides Support to Tourism Sector

New Zealand’s 31 Regional Tourism Organisations and an iconic tourism attraction are the first receiver of help from the Tourism Sector Recovery Plan of $400 million, to support the sector for improvement from COVID-19.

  • The plan comprises a Strategic Tourism Assets Protection Programme that shall provide about $20.2 million for New Zealand’s 31 RTOs and $4 million to Discover Waitomo;
  • This investment comes after the Tourism Recovery Ministers Group meeting to decide eligibility criteria and make vital support decisions.
