Newrange Gold Corp. is a publicly listed mining firm focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties, mainly precious metals, throughout North America. The company was incorporated in 2006 under the name Colombian Mines Corporation – dedicated to its Colombia-focused mining business.
In 2016, it diversified its operation to Nevada and consequently, renamed itself Newrange Gold Corp. The Vancouver-headquartered miner is engaged in district-scale gold exploration projects sitting in mining-friendly jurisdictions within the US and Canada.
The company’s flagship Pamlico Gold Project is located in Garfield Hills, within Mineral County, Nevada. The project consists 276 unpatented lode mineral claims under the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
Pamlico hosts a gold-bearing epithermal mineral system. The miner identified multiple shallow, oxidized and structurally controlled mineralized zones with potential for bulk mineralization. The project is connected via highways, roads and a rail network with power transmission lines, to support further exploration and development.
Newrange optioned the North Birch Gold Project, which provides a blue-sky opportunity in the Red Lake District. The project includes the Western Fold and H Lake Properties, and spans a total land area of nearly 3,850 hectares along the northwestern edge of the Birch-Uchi Greenstone Belt, 100 kilometers northeast of Red Lake town.
In August 2021, the mining firm signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Red Lake-based Argosy Gold Mine, earlier known as Jason. Pursuant to the agreement, it can own a 100 per cent stake in the project, subject to 2.5 per cent net smelter royalty (NSR). The project comprises 43 patented mineral claims and 17 mineral licenses spread over a land package of 604 hectares.
Newrange is focused on exploration and development programs to discover new gold prospects and target areas to enhance the mineral resource potential for the advancement of its project. Newrange is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange with common shares trading under the ticker NRG. The company is also listed on the US OTC and Frankfurt market under the stock quotes NRGOF and X6C.F, respectively.
