GPM Metals Inc (TSX:GPM)

Mining

GPM Metals Inc is a zinc-focused metals and mining company that focuses on owning, operating, assessing, and developing district-scale exploration properties. The company explores and develops the Walker Gossan project which is situated in Northern Territory, Australia.

The Walker Gossan exploration properties are prospective for hosting significant zinc resources. GPM Metals concentrates on strengthening the exploration permitting process at the Walker Gossan project.

The company’s headquarters is in Toronto, Ontario. GPM Metals Inc is a publicly listed company on the TSX Venture Exchange market (TSXV), where its common stocks trade under the ticker ‘GPM’.

The Walker Gossan project has executed an earn-in/joint venture agreement with Rio Tinto Limited’s 100 per cent-owned subsidiary, Rio Tinto Exploration Pty.

The company has the right to own and operate 51 per cent of the project during stage 1 of the joint venture agreement. The Walker Gossan property covers a land package of nearly 176,000 hectares and is situated in the McArthur Basin Mining District.

Since the acquisition of ground by Conzinc Riotinto Australia in 1972, the Walker Gossan property has experienced limited exploration work because of the execution of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act of 1976.

For tide water bulk shipping transportation, various neighboring mining operations, including Century mine, MacArthur River mine and Mt. Isa mine use the Gulf of Carpentaria.

The Walker Gossan is the only major property in the district that is not drill tested and most other large gossans inside the district consist of world-class deposits. The Walker Gossan lies inside a major Proterozoic base metal belt which consists of numerous large, high-grade Ag, Pb, Zn, Cu, deposits.
