 Australian Markets Ended in Green; Basic Materials Sector Rose by 1.87%

On 7th December 2020, ASX 200 settled at new 100-day high with a rise of 40.90 points to 6675. Basic Materials sector witnessed a rise of 1.87% and energy sector increased by 1.59%. On the other hand, academic & educational services sector witnessed a fall of 4.94%.

Movements on the Wall Street: On December 4, 2020, Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.82% to 30,218.26. Notably, NASDAQ Composite rose 0.70% to 12,464.23.

Top Gainers and Losers: Metcash Limited (ASX: MTS) and Sims Limited (ASX: SGM) soared by 10.25% and 6.73%, respectively. On the flip side, IDP Education Limited (ASX: IEL) fell by 4.94%.
