Family Insights Group Launched Family Insights School Wellness Program

On 26 April 2019, Family Insights Group Limited (ASX: FAM) announced the launch of a new schools-based digital wellbeing initiative in support of its parental control platform Family Insights (FI). The company has now reached into an agreement where it will launch the Digital Wellbeing initiative for all parents of the St Bernardine’s School Regents Park.

The initiative is being offered and driven by the Parents and Friends Association of St Bernardine on behalf of all parents of the schools 700+ children. The initiative will provide parental awareness and education program. It will also provide access to and use of Family Insights cyber safety platform at scale over the course of the 2019 school year.

As a part of the initiative, Family Insight will conduct research where the level of knowledge of the families, which includes both parents as well as children, along with their confidence in managing digital wellbeing in the home will be evaluated. Through this research, the company would be able to identify, measure as well as analyze any changes in the behaviour of the family and their attitude over the course of the digital wellbeing initiative.

The cyber safety product of Family Insights uses the advanced real-time behavioural analysis of the network behaviours of the children and combine it with research-backed advice and educational materials for parents so that they can help the families develop better digital skills together.

From over two hundred international resources, child psychologists as well as online safety experts, the parental advice offered is selected, refined and drawn. The key features of the mobile-based product consist of:

  • Real-time monitoring of behavior as well as parent alerts for identified risks.
  • Parents would be able to manage internet availability to the children through internet scheduling.
  • Through the GPS tracking of children, there will be alert in case the children move away from the designated areas.
  • Families will be provided with the research-backed advice along with the educational resources.

The initiative will help the parents to deal with the kids’ addiction to the internet, gaming and social media. It will also help them to recognize and oppose cyberbullying, extremism as well as online grooming. They would also be able to teach their children about the potential danger zone online. They could even recognize when the children are having difficulties online. The initiative will also help the parents to overcome and address sleep deprivation through technology.

Recently, on 9 April 2019, Family Insights Group provided an update on its operations, products as well as the appointment of CDO.

For the half-year ended 31 December 2018, there was an increase in the revenue from the ordinary activities by 24.97% to $683,697 as compared to the previous corresponding period. The company incurred a loss of $855,012 which declined by 77.34% as compared to the prior corresponding period. The balance sheet of the company reported an increase in the asset as a result of growth in the total asset. The total shareholders’ equity was $1,005,146. By the end of the period, the net cash and cash equivalent with the company was $1,268,176.

By the end of the trading session on April 26th, 2019, the share price of FAM closed flat on ASX at A$0.001. FAM holds a market capitalization of A$2.08 million and approximately 2.08 billion outstanding shares.
