Woodside Expands 2C Contingent Resources at the Scarborough field

Woodside Petroleum Limited (ASX: WPL) inches up resources at the Scarborough field post completing the integrated subsurface studies.

  • The estimated gross contingent resource (2C) dry volume surged from 7.3 Tcf to the level of 11.1 Tcf on a 100 per cent basis, which in turn, marks an increase of 52 per cent.
  • WPL’s interest in the Greater Scarborough consist of 75 per cent interest in WA-1-R, which holds the majority of the Scarborough field, and a 50 per cent interest in each of WA-61-R, WA-62-R and WA-63-R.
  • The Greater Scarborough now contains an estimated gross dry gas contingent resource (2C) volume of 13.0 Tcf on a 100 per cent basis amid an increase in Scarborough resource volume.
