Opthea Limited (ASX: OPT) has completed the private placement announced recently on 2 December 2019. Opthea has raised $50 million through the issue of approximately 18.9 million fully paid ordinary shares at an issue price of $2.65 per New Share.
The new shares that are issued under the Placement rank equally with the existing company’s shares. The company has also confirmed that the Placement is within its placement capacity under ASX listing rule 7.1, and shareholder approval is not required.
At AEST (01:10 PM), the stock was trading lower at $2.970, dip by 1.98 per cent from the previous close.
