By the market closure on 24 April 2020, marginal improvement was seen in most of the sectors. Sectors like Materials, metals and mining, resources and health care improved by more than 1% while Energy sector was the best performing sector for the day. The Energy sector improved by 2.01% and settled at 6,532.
Benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 improved marginally by 0.49% and closed at 5,242.6 by the end of the trading session.
From the Heath care sector, the shares of CSL limited (ASX:CSL) improved by 2.309% and settled at $313.75 while Ramsay Health Care Limited (ASX:RHC) reported a growth of ~2.35% in its share price after the successful completion of the institutional placement.
