Copper cathode production rose higher against the market expectation in China for October 2019:
- China produced 783,000 metric tonnes of copper cathode in October, which marked a 3.12 per cent increase against the previous month and 66 per cent increase against the previous corresponding period in 2018.
- The production of copper cathode during the first ten months of the year 2019 totalled 7.34 million metric tonnes, up by 1.57 per cent against the previous corresponding period in 2018, supported by the ramping up of newly commissioned/ reopened projects.
