Cooper Metals (ASX:CPM) has been awarded a Collaborative Exploration Initiative (CEI) grant of AU$137,500 for a detailed Versatile Time-Domain Electromagnetic (VTEM) of tenement EPM28087 (Barbara East). CPM had acquired 85% ownership of EPM28087 from Revolution Mining Pty Ltd. in late February. The tenement is situated just two kilometers to the northeast of the company’s existing tenure.
CPM is planning to conduct the VTEM survey in early May 2023. Falling in line with the company’s business strategy to screen the region rapidly for new copper-gold targets, the survey will cover an area of about 200km2 and 725 line-kms.
The heliborne detailed survey will be flown in an east-west orientation at 300m line spacing, to identify any bedrock conductors representing copper sulphide mineralisation.
Upon completion of the survey, the conductors will be ground checked and ranked for further exploration work including ground-based geophysics, geochemistry, and drill testing.
