Warnings of World War 3
The question of whether we are going to have another World War has captured all the limelight because of recent comments made by the Russian foreign minister. As Western allies, the UN and NATO stand in solidarity with Ukraine against the Russian invasion; Russia has publicly warned the world for the next World War.
Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recently said that World War 3 would be “nuclear and destructive”. As Ukraine is seeking help from NATO, the UN, the EU and the US, Russia has warned to launch its nuclear weapons if Ukraine acquires nuclear arsenals from the allies.
Additionally, Putin has also given warnings like if any nation or organisation tries to “hinder” Russia, they would have to bear the consequences they have never seen in their history. So, Russia’s warnings are causing fear in the international community because Russia has the fiercest nuclear weaponry globally. So, if Russia moves towards the tragic step of employing nuclear weaponry, it would be disastrous for Ukraine and the entire world.
All in all, it is too early to say if there is going to be another World War. But, if Russia escalates its move towards nuclear weaponry, it would be disastrous for the world economy and peace. But there seem a hint of the storm calming down, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky seeming to be tentatively open to comprise.
