Predictive Discovery commences diamond drilling at Ferkessedougou North.

Mining

Predictive Discovery Limited (ASX: PDI) announced that the 1,000m of diamond drilling (DD) has commenced at Ferkessedougou North to explore the shape of the gold mineralisation granitic body, which was identified recently from a high, encouraging trenching result.

The best trenching results that the company received included 34m at 5.29g/t of gold and 92m at 1.76g/t of gold, which complement the results received from earlier Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling from the same granitic body and included 25m at 3.1g/t of gold from 64m. The trenching identified an elliptical shaped gold mineralisation granitic intrusive body, which was approx. 160m long and 90m wide at the surface and the company is determined to test the mineralisation with deeper drilling. The drilling is now underway on the Ferkessedougou North project and Boundiali North. The company discovered high-grade gold at Cote D’Ivoire recently and held the same plans for the prospect.

The significant results from the trenching includes:

The location of trenching identified as FNTR035 resulted in 34m at 5.29g/t of gold including 2m at 75.70g/t of gold. Further results are awaited from the location, and it is so far the best trenching result from the activity.

The location of trenching identified as FNTR029 resulted in 92m at 1.76g/t of gold including 2m at 20.60g/t of gold and 2m at 8.04g/t of gold.

The location of trenching identified as FNTR028 resulted in 38m at 1.27g/t of gold including 2m at 7.03g/t of gold

The location of trenching identified as FNTR028 resulted in 78m at 1.30g/t of gold including 2m at 7.47g/t of gold

The location of trenching identified as FNTR028 resulted in 22m at 1.60g/t of gold including 2m at 9.65g/t of gold.

The company completed 5,147m of trenching at the project site and took 2m channel samples from the trench wall and submitted it to Elam Laboratory in Yamoussoukro in Cote D’Ivoire for cyanide leach (bottle role) analysis.

Previous exploration:

The company took the soil samples in 2016 from Ferkessedougou North, which revealed a 17km-long gold-in-soil anomaly zone. The successive trenching in 2017 and reconnaissance reverse drilling in 2018 revealed widespread gold mineralisation mostly in altered sheared granite bodies, with various drill intercepted in one zone extending over more than 1km of strike and included a best intercept of 25m at 3.06g/t of gold from 64m including 4m at 13.78g/t of gold from the location identified as FNRC016.

As per the company, a recently completed gradient array Induced Polarisation (IP) survey over the Confederate gold mineralized zone represented a spatial correlation between 1.5km long induced polarised chargeability and the previously identified mineralisation.

The exploration results relate to mineralisation based on information compiled by a member of the Australian Institute of Geosciences Mr. Robert, who is a full-time employee of the company and is considered as a competent person for the reporting of mineralisation under 2012 edition of the Australasian Code of Reporting of Exploration Results.

The stock of the company settled day’s trade flat at A$0.014 as on 22 March’19.
